The Gilis are three very small islands off the western coast of Lombok. These islands are known for diving and snorkeling, in particular for turtles (we would see at least 2 every snorkel!). There is no motorised transport on the Gilis, so bikes or horse carts are you're only options.
We stayed 2 night on Gili Trawangan, this is a bit of a party island, very busy. Then we spent 5 nights at Gili Meno, the smallest and quietest.

These are some month old turtles at the turtle santuary, I'm unsure how much of a santuary this was... they were very cute though.
